(day 3) activity 1 archery

The sports topic that I have choose is archery. The aim of the game is to hit the bulls eye from 70m. The rules are if there is one whistle blast they may shoot and two whistle blasts mean they can move to the shooting line. One day I might play archery.

  1. Morena, Zion! I have learnt something about archery from reading your blog post. Maybe we can find out if KiwiSport runs an archery programme in schools. We learnt a lot about golf at our Snag Golf lessons - and for the first time since 1904 there is golf at these Summer Olympics in Rio.

  2. Hi Zion! Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey programme. I am so glad that you decided to join us and to post this cool picture of an archer. It is a pretty tricky sport but, once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun! I hope that the KiwiSport team runs an archery programme in schools. Perhaps you could then join in and learn how to hold the bow and shoot the arrow so that you hit the target. Who knows, you might even hit the bullseye on your first shot!

(I would like to say that I hit the bullseye the first time that I tried archery but that would be a lie. Sadly, I don't think that I hit the target once during my first session! Oops...)

Keep up the great work, Zion. I really hope that you will continue with the learning journey this holiday and post lots of great blogs!

I'll look forward to checking your site again in a few days to see if you've had time to post any other blogs. Hopefully you will :)

    Cheers, Rachel
